1. When trials trap me like a snare.
When troubles come from ev-'ry-where.
When all the world tears at my soul.
I have but one place left to go.
I keep my eyes on You.
For You a-lone are true.
2. When all else fails, I understand:
Trust not in things that come from man.
How frail, how soon they pass away.
'Tis only Your love, Lord, that stays.
3. When tired, I find my strength a-new.
For in my trials, Lord, I find You!
I shall not fear the troubled days,
for they but help me find the Way.
(Refrain and then: You, Lord are true!)
